Robert Jewkes founded the company with his wife Jan, originally planning to open a store in Cirencester.
Following the opening of Robert and Jan’s first shop in Evesham, Colin Harvey joined forces with Rob to open Corinium Carpets in Portland Street, Cheltenham.
Ever the opportunists, Rob and Colin moved to a new showroom and warehouse in Kingsditch Trading Estate.
After 13 years as Colin and Rob’s understudy, Joe Jewkes took full control of the business and made it into a Limited enterprise.
Shortly after the transition of ownership to Joe, Corinium launched its commercial department which serviced all their national and key clients.
Joe’s vision to expand and create a custom-built showroom and warehouse was realised in our current location.
Corinium Carpets continues to expand. Our bed department ‘Corinium Comforts’ was launched in April 2018.
